Vagabond Wanderlust

Curious are my days, restless my nights
Because I have a dream that’s almost in sight
Every nerve in my being says I’m close
And that guardian angel smiles upon the path I chose.

I can almost feel that first snowflake I’ve never felt
I can almost walk the pathways I’ve never tread
That shady tree atop the hill, the one only I’ve seen in a dream
I can almost feel the cool of its shade, and me at peace that which I’ve never been

Just a hop, step and fight away
Just a bend and I am on my way
Every nerve in my being says I’m close
And that guardian angel smiles upon the path I chose.

They’ll be journeys that I could have never foretold
This love with life shall last till I grow old
The days I travel to those places unknown
Those days I’ll fly like a bird that has never flown

All my foolish reservations, I’ll let go
I’ll take those chances, fall in love, laugh and grow.
Just a hop, step and fight away
Just a bend and I am on my way

Anxious are my days, Sleepless my nights
Because I have a dream that’s almost in sight
Every nerve in my being says I’m close
And that guardian angel smiles upon the path I chose

I have a problem with the way you abbreviate “because,” but other than that i think it’s a beautiful take on determination. “This love with life shall last till I grow old…All my foolish reservations, I’ll let go,” these are my favorite lines, being that I relate closest to them 🙂
